During these first two weeks of August, I'll post some of my favorite clips.
To start, here is "Café Bouillu" for Jean-françois Coen. It was my 4th clip but the first one made for a major.
The clip was produced by Georges Hanouna & Nicole Hanouna, I will never thank them enough for being among the firsts to believe in me and to have supported me so much.
The animation of the film was made by Magiclab Prod, a young studio created by the very talented Arthur Gordon whom I also thank for having accepted to follow us and help in this adventure. I take this opportunity to thank Nicolas Lesaffre for this beautiful meeting.
The filmed part was improvised along the way because I changed the story during the production to add an extra dimension to the video. I would like to thank Alexis Zabe for his lighting, Florian Guzek for lending us his apartment and Yann Leverre for the decor.
As a little anecdote, the graphic designers had paper mini-Jean-Francois Coens printed on their desks. One day, I saw that the leg of one of the puppets was torn. I joked that we had to be careful because they were like voodoo dolls. 2 days later, Jean-François came to the studio on crutches, he had sprained his ankle playing tennis.
Thanks also to ...
Cédric Poligné, Maxime Luère, Mael Francois, Léon Bérelle, Olivier Vernay, Chi Vang, Benoit Joubert, Valentin Gault
... for your immense talent, and for not having torn another part of Jean-François.
